The North Park Manor Society provides subsidized housing – rent is based on income.

Rent will not exceed 30% of income (exception sponsored non-Canadian residents.)

Fisgard House – 6 storey building – 844 Fisgard Street

North Park Manor – 16 storey high rise – 875 North Park Street

  • 2 elevators, 2 laundry facilities ($1.25 wash/$1.25 dry) – underground secured parking (if available).
  • 24 one bedroom for couples
  • 134 bachelors
  • 4 handicapped

Crime free rated building, secured entrances, camera monitoring

Applicants – Minimum Requirements:

  • Age – 55 plus
  • Income – single maximum $30,500 – couple maximum $35,500
  • Market Tenants being accepted – maximum income – single $57,000 –couple $69,360
  • BC resident
  • Non Smoker
  • No Pets
  • Assets (stocks, bonds, investments, cash, real estate) maximum $100,000

Applicants – Required Documents:

  • 3 months of bank statements
  • 3 months of pay stubs if employed
  • 2016 Assessment for 2015 year – or 2016 if available
  • Documents that indicate any payments currently received from E.I. or W.C.B.
  • Seniors (65 plus) are required to provide a Rate Benefit letter which is provided by Service Canada (1-800-277-9914).
  • Information on assets worth over $100,000 (cash, investments, real estate).

Applicants that are not Canadian Citizens Require Confirmation of their Status

References:

  • Phone numbers of landlords for past 2 years
  • Phone number for a personal reference who is not a landlord

There is a minimum of a 3 months waiting list.  Exceptions may occur based on need and availability of suites.

Applicants are not contacted until they reach the short list. 

Credit checks are done on short-listed applicants.
